When I met Mr. Days, he was literally just tinkering with some bikes on his porch. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you just dropped some bikes off at his house. But here’s his address and phone number just in case, he’s listed in the phone book:

Myself and a friend have a good number of bikes that we would like to donate to The Bike Man. How can we go about doing this? These bikes would not need any repair. Just the man who is already doing a great thing and the knowledge of who is in need. I just love what he is doing!!!!

Thanks for posting my old story on Mr. Days. I was actually at home watching the news last month when this story came on and I couldn’t believe it. There on my screen was the same man I found while covering a clean-up in his neighborhood. Mr. Days was sitting on his porch, fixing up bikes, so I chatted him up and found out about all the good things he does for the community. So I went back a couple weeks later and wrote a story on him. When my story came out, a woman sent me a check for a couple hundred dollars and asked me to forward it along to Mr. Days. I did! I’ve never had someone respond to an article like that. Thanks for giving Mr. Days even more publicity on your blog. He truly is one of those people who make Durham a special city to live in.
