bent horizon

Ginny Skalski’s recent post on the Durham Centre parking deck reminded me that I took a bunch of photos from the top of the new Mangum Morgan Street parking deck back in early spring. I planned to stitch them together, making one large panoramic view from the top deck, but I never got around to it. Until today. Enjoy…

Stitched with Canon PhotoStitch; made navigable with Zoomify.

Is this the Morgan Street parking deck? Did you notice on the way up that one of the floors of the deck is at the roofline of the West Village apartments across the street? I wish I had my camera with me; it was a sea of those distinctive brick ‘chimneys’.

Thanks for the close reading Dan. Morgan… not Mangum.

I agree; there is a beautiful view of the brick ornamentation from about the 5th level of the garage. That’s where I got this one — http://nicomachus.net/2008/02/turrets/

That’s so cool. I need to fool around with that zoomify thing and try this myself.
