Periodic Tables

Join me tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9th, 7pm at Broad Street Café to talk about Oscar Pistorius (aka the blade runner), the Six-13, Michael Phelps, the Adidas Innovation Team, and other controversies in the world of sports.

It’s part of the Museum of Life and Science’s new Periodic Tables, Science Café talks.

Cool! I’m glad you’re doing this program, and that the Museum is sponsoring programs of its sort. I hope you get a good turnout.

One thing I’ve liked about cable TV in recent years is the explosion of knowledge-related programming on everything from Discovery to ESPN. There are so many great programs inspiring interest in science, engineering, history and the arts. Yay for cable, man!

By coincidence, I hosted a pair of sports-related program at Broad Street Cafe in 2007 :-)

Not much science in there (except for proving, during a demo, that Rob Clough can push me around any time he wants). But it was fun to learn and to offer learning.
