Phillip Barron

I wear many hats in life and on the web.

Trained in philosophy, I am a poet, teacher, and award-winning digital media artist living in Davis, California. My poetry appears online and in print, essays have appeared in Inside Higher Ed, Radical Philosophy Review, and Urban Velo among other journals, and my photography and videography have appeared in art galleries in Durham, North Carolina and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Right now, I teach poetry and digital humanities at the University of California, Davis; before that I spent seven years with the National Humanities Center.

My first book, The Outspokin' Cyclist, was published in August 2011. I am co-editor of the journal OccuPoetry and editor of The Squaw Valley Review.
